SK I
Visual inspection, protective conductor continuity, insulation or substitute leakage method where required, leakage current assessment and functional test.
Practical overview for recurring tests of portable electrical equipment under DIN EN 50699 (VDE 0702).
This page is a field-oriented reference for recurring tests. The binding basis remains the current original standard, the operator risk assessment and the judgement of a qualified person.
DGUV A3 is a common field shorthand for equipment testing under DGUV Regulation 3; the canonical reference remains DGUV Vorschrift 3.
DIN EN 50699 (VDE 0702):2021-06 covers recurring tests. Tests after repair are handled separately by DIN EN 50678 (VDE 0701).

Visual inspection, protective conductor continuity, insulation or substitute leakage method where required, leakage current assessment and functional test.
For double-insulated or SELV equipment the focus shifts to visual integrity, insulation barriers, touch current where applicable and function.
Check connector condition, strain relief, conductor assignment, protective conductor continuity and insulation before field use.
Record device ID, date, inspector, measuring device, measured values, result and next interval. Labels alone are not complete documentation.
